The long-running NBC drama has continued its historic tenure with a new season of Law & Order: SVU, bringing Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the elite squad back for another round of high-stakes investigations, complicated criminal convictions, and the many personal challenges that come with the job. With stakes as high as they are at the Manhattan SVU, there’s no telling what the next investigation will bring, but justice is all but guaranteed with Benson at the helm. “Law & Order: SVU is celebrating 600 episodes this season,” SVU icon Kelli Giddish told NBC Insider ahead of the newest season. Giddish has been kicking criminal butt since Season 13 with the elite squad, and continues securing justice in Season 28 as Sgt. Amanda Rollins. “So we can tease that there will be some excellent guest stars that I’m sure the audience will love seeing.”
