Mariska Hargitay Shares Behind-the-Scenes Footage from Wild Location on SVU Season 28
The SVU icon gave fans a sneak peek at an upcoming episode of Season 28.
Mariska Hargitay just revealed the lengths she will go to find the perfect camera angle on the set of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
The SVU Season 28 cast and crew are officially back on set, and Hargitay once again peeled back the curtain and gave fans a glimpse into what the new season may hold.

In an Instagram post shared on August 6, the longtime SVU star posted a behind-the-scenes video of her and director Juan José Campanella riding the famous Coney Island ferris wheel — with cameras in hand, of course — as the duo searched for the perfect shot for an upcoming episode. Campanella has directed 39 episodes of Law & Order: SVU, and it sure looks like he and Hargitay (who executive produces on SVU as well) are not afraid to go to great heights to masterfully frame a scene from the upcoming season.
“SVU bts scouting camera angles with the great @campanellajuanjose @nbclawandorder svu 28,” Hargitay’s Instagram caption read.
That wasn’t the only BTS shot Hargitay shared that day on social media, either. In a separate Instagram post, the star was captured on that same ferris wheel, stoically looking out with sunglasses on as American flags frame the photo.
“Another day at the office🎡… SVU 28,” Hargitay captioned the image.
Whether she’s sharing smiling on-set selfies with her co-stars at the end of July to even recording a live rehearsal of a Season 27 episode last summer, Hargitay is dedicated to giving viewers an inside look at one of the longest-running shows in television history every chance she gets.
Of course, Hargitay did make sure she — and her co-stars — had a little fun while they were in Coney Island. Cameras captured Hargitay, Kevin Kane, Corey Cott, and Kelli Giddish riding a rollercoaster:
